Welcome to Long Crendon Community Library
Our very popular village library has stood at the heart of our community for many years, offering books, internet access, newspapers & magazines, information and companionship. It was transferred to community ownership on 3 April 2012, and is now a registered charity, run by a team of volunteers – this has proved a challenge, but has brought with it many benefits. One of which is the opportunity to purchase our own new books and tailor our stock to the needs and tastes of our users.
We continue to be part of the stock rotation of Buckinghamshire County Council, ensuring that our books are continually changed and renewed.
In particular, Bucks CC agreed to safeguard the provision of children’s titles, audio books, large print books and reference material.
We have a photocopier, computers and internet access, a hearing loop, wheelchair access and a disabled toilet and free wifi.
For information on our regular events please go to the News & Events page If you are a member of any Bucks library you may use our library as normal.
If you would like to join, (it’s still free) please call in when we are open and speak to the library staff. We hope you will visit soon, and often.
